2008 CF Transplant Yardsale for Jamie!

So we did a yard sale in July for Jamie's transplant expenses at my house. We did really good but it was super hot. We started on a Friday and then on Saturday our neighbors where doing one too so we drew crowds in that why.
Jamie is hard a work on the numbers for the yard sale....it costs their family $2500 to go to Pittsburgh every two months. They have to stay there for one to two weeks and she has to have a care taker go with her. So it really expensive on their little family. She found out she is doing really great and her oxygen stats are at 98% from 15% before the transplant!!
Mj found this funny hat and no more then I few minutes later she was carring around a gun with it. What a real USA baby huh. I had a hard laugh over it. She makes me laugh all the time.

Memories from friends and loved ones....

"Leave a Memory"
Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Our Barney Reunion at Bone, Idaho

We loved seeing all our cousins and family!
Jamie and I did the craft this year again. We did clocks and vinyl candles and wood sayings
I peeled so many vinyl Hawaiian Flowers for two days before the reunion, I was glad to see the craft a success. Jamie gave the best testimony about her transplant and her miracle I was so emotional. I was so glad that I was there to hear it.
Darren loves to fly fish with Zac and I love to ....see all my family I haven't seen forever.

At Mount Rushmore!!

Ok so I am so sorry that I have not posted for at least a month.I have some pictures on the way from the big show we did at the school and from my stay in Virginia Beach. Our camera card froze up and now I have to get some program to retrieve the images. Yah...I thought the same thing"What the....they can freeze up?" Be aware they can and they do so always download your picture. Anyways, we went to a National Monument for the 3rd of July because thats when they were having there fireworks show. We showed up 6 Hours before the show was suppose to began and let me just tell you, if you are ever thinking of doing this...
don't...just go with your gut feeling of 'Theres probably going to be allot of people, don't you think honey, we might not get a seat and have to be in traffic for hours on end"
mmmm...you guessed it we sat pretty much in the last place possible, got yelled at by a "National Forest Ranger" for seating somewhere I guess we not suppose to be and you remember the expression, 'I walked both ways up hill in 12 ft of snow' minus the snow and add a stroller to that and you have our 2 1/2 mile hike up hill pushing Mj!! Yes I believe that my calf's grew in size that day along with a ever piercing feeling in my gloots. Thank heavens for my Man he did most the work! Well the Fireworks were pretty and we had a blast with Tori and Todd and their lit'l family. We even got to travel with them . Over all the experience was something to laugh over but I am not sure I will EVER plan a holiday trip to a National Monument....ever again.

I do have to share a picture I took of our little social butterfly at work. This is an older couple that Mj befriended while we sat waiting for the fireworks to start. She played with everyone along this strip of the crowd. We all laughed until we cried because after she had played with them for a few she came over and exclaimed.."Mommie, I found Grandma and Grandpa!"
Not only is she like a little puppy when it comes to loving people ....
she is also like a puppy over food. You'd think I starve the poor thing the way she begs from other people. You know that look that a dog gives you when they are sitting by you and they want what you have but they don't want you to know they do. She did that to anyone that was eating something. We laughed because I had just got done feeding her KFC chicken and two salads. At one moment I looked over and she was eating from a bag of sun chips that I know I didn't bring. She had took it from the neighboring group and was just munching away!
I'll save the beverage thing for another day......

At Bush Garderns

Mj and Daddy rode alot of rides together. It was so cute to see her get so excited to
ride on each one. Daddy I think was just as excited to ride along with her.

Me and lit'l the crazy head. She is a hoot. I can not believe how she has no boundaries with
people. She reminds about how we should be more happy and inviting to everyone
around us. She will just say "hi" and "bye" to about every person we sit or walk by.

What a cute beach bum!! He so good he let Mj put sand all over him almost the
entire time we were there! Love his soft hand with her. Well ladies I just love his hands all together.

Tori Doll and me on the beach with the kids. Oh yah and Darren...I am still
thinking about that last picture. Anyways she is so amazing. Glad to have her there she makes going over worth not having to sit in the apartment everyday.

My Little Angel is Getting So BIG!

Ok so she is far from being an angel but she is so dang cute that she makes up for being such a rotten pill! Thought I'd post some pictures of how much she has grown since January. She has such a creative personality that makes me laugh and cry everyday. Living with a crazy person can be fun but it can also be very draining!!!

She's BACK!!

If you can't tell just by looking at her that she feels a whole heck of a lot better then I am here to tell you that she looks and feels like a new Jamie! She is having so much fun with her new lungs. She is even going to be directing a huge Spring play this year for the end of our season in June. Her segway is collecting dust that is how great she feels. If you want to read more about her click on the JamieBug link in A few of my Favorite Things... So glad to have my best girlie Friend home. Missed her a ton.

My man and I in Virginia!

These are pictures of the first trip to be with my honey! I had a great trip there not so great on the way back seeing how every plane I got on didn't wanted to leave on time and I ended up there one day longer. Mj stayed with grandma. It was so good to get away with him.

Hope For Lungs Benefits Concert!

Here is the flyer for the 'Hope For Lungs' Benefits Concert I am directing. I have pretty much been running like a mad women the past month after returning from Pittsburgh and sending 'My man' off to Virgina. I wake up everyday and have a hundred things to do. What a great opportunity though. It's really been one of the more challenging things in my life to put something like this together all while my life around me is changing. I'm not sure which one is more stressful having My Man gone, running the entire school, chasing Mj around while she is trying to get down potty training or putting this concert together. I came to the conclusion it's all of it happening at once. I really wish that I could just do one at a time but Heavenly Father knows doing that would be way to easy. So I get to learn the lesson of balance and prioritizing. I am so thankful to good friends. Mindee is one of those that trys to take up some of my slack and also give me a good laugh once in a while to help boost my moral. What I love is how when you get so busy and then you just get a chance to sit its likes a wonderful day at the spa!! Speaking of that I think I might treat myself to one after this is all said and done.

Pres. Hinckley

Words can not convey how you can feel happy and sad all at once for such a passing. He was a wonderful inspiration to man kind while he served. His willingness to work to the very end is a true testimony of what he lived for. I will keep this in my heart as I feel overwhelmed by life's bellows and trials.....and think my lot is hard. What a wonderful prophet and leader. He was so good hearted. He lead me from adolescence, to a young lady and into motherhood. His homecoming would have been grand to have attended. He will be missed but he has surly lead the way.....

Leavin' On A Jet Plane

My Eyes Say It All!
Mj and I said goodbye to The Man of our lives today! It was so heartbreaking to see her with her face pressed on the glasses doors at airport security. She kept asking for "daddy?" all the way home. I just felt so numb as he walked up the airport escalators to board his plane, that was already boarding when he was still in the security line. Our goodbyes were quick but our eyes said so much. We will not see him for a while....lets just say it will seem like too long. I will miss him so much that I can't even feel right now. I kept wondering how couple do this? I can't believe I will have no one to come home to at the end of the day. I can't possibly understand the loneness that my man will feel. I at least have Mj to hug and hold. Here is a touching picture of their goodbye......

The Three Posts for January!

My Man's Buddies Bowling with us wifees
This is our Trip to Boise Idaho January 17th-20th. Yes I know I was suppose to be in Pittsburgh until January 20th but lucky me I got a phone call from My Man on Monday that informed me that he was know leaving to Virgina earlier then expected. TRY TWO MONTHS EARLIER THEN EXPECTED. I flew home all day Wednesday to get home to be with him before he leaves. He really wanted to go and see his family before he left so we hopped in the car the next day and drove to Boise. He and I had a lot of fun. I wished I'd taken more pictures because I got to see one of my dance teachers Cheryl and take a class from her. It was so good to see her I can't believe how she hasn't aged a day since the last time we saw each other which has been since before I got married. One of the other high lights was being able to see all my old roommates from college and have lunch at Amber house. We had so much fun catching up on everyones lives up until now. A lot has happened to each of us in just a few short years. Any ways here are a few events I got around to actually taking pictures of. Love the one of Jessee she looks so cute prego. The picture next to it is of Ormand , My Man and I's Step father. He had a 70th Birthday bash this same weekend. There was dancing and the whole family came to it. Funny thing is I use to think 70 was OLD but really he is still so young looking and still very active. So I think its just that I am getting old enough to realize that years can not tell you your age, you do!

Visiting JamieBug in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Most of you might already know but January 7th I went to see my sister in Pittsburgh. She was a little skinny when I first saw her and thought how the pictures really didn't show this on her blog before I came. But it didn't take her but a few days and she was laughing and talking with me and asking for her arm to get scratched! Later in the week she wanted to start scrap booking again so we went and got a few things to get her started. Her book is really coming along here are a few picture and sweet moments from when I was there! I miss you Ja.....

My Bestest Friend!

Nothing is like a Mothers Love!

Our favorite nurse "Nurse Dan" He is so wonderful to do the little things for my sis that make a long hospital stay not so horrible. He even rubs her shoulder when they ache from the hard bed!

Here is a video of her walking her 1/2 Mile every morning and night while I was there. She was one of the only patients that wasn't walking with a walker. That didn't really surprise me much, she knows how to push through almost anything now!

Her Ol' stand by, her closest friend, her companion....her faithful husband.
